Scout (Jean Louise Finch)
Scout is the protagonist and narrator of the story. She is looking back on her life and telling the reader about it from the first person perspective. She is the daughter of Atticus and the younger brother of Jem. She is somewhat of a tom boy and likes to hangout with Jem and Dill. She is concerned for Tom during his trial much like Atticus and Jem and even defends Tom when some of the townsfolk try to kill him because they think he raped a white girl. This shows how courageous she really is and how many qualities she shares with her brother and father.
